Artist Statement - Marcus Patching
My artwork is diverse and has had many complex themes and influences over time.
Since arriving back in Australia after creating works in Canada,I have been photographing Australian native trees and mirroring these images and printing them onto aluminium. These images are in limited edition and have received positive responses at my last show Table 15.
I have consistently worked on a variety of ideas and mediums and one prevalent theme is that my images seem to be suspended and have a somewhat floating aesthetic.
